Remise, release, sell, convey and quit-claim all right, title, interest claim and demand which the said party of the first part have in and to the following described lot or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in Logan County and State of Illinois, towit:

240 acres of land, being the NE __ and S 1/2 of NW 1/4, Section 4 Township 18 North, Range 2 West of the 3rd Principal Meridian.

Testimonium and Execution are as follows:

In testimony whereof the said party of the first part having caused these presents to be subscribed on their behalf by their president and have hereunto set their Corporate Seal the day and year first herin before written.

Acknolwedged December 18th, 1849, by Charles S. Baker, personally known to be the president of the Corporation called the Gerard Bank, in the City of Philadephia and acknowledged that the said The Gerard Bank had executed the foregoing written Deed, and that the same was the act and deed of the said Corporation, and that the said Seal thereto affixed was the seal of the said Corporation, before John H. Frick, Commissioner of Deeds &c, of the State of Illinois in and for the City of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania.
