Mill Creek School was located in Corwin Township, Section 2. There is some disagreement in records but I think it is related to interpretation - school district vs. school building location. It got its name from Rankin's Mill which was at Rocky Ford in Corwin. The original school burnt and a new building was constructed. That is the new building in the picture.

The picture was provided by Edward Danley who found it in the possessions of his late father Edgar (Earl) Danley. A note indicates "the Horchem girls were Faye and Ethel but I don't remember which is which." He also indicated he thinks the note may have been written by Peggy Martin Danley.
