Frank Beckhart Dies At Latham


Franklin Jonas Beckhart, prominent in business for some years and conducting a hardware store in Latham, passed away at 4:35 Monday afternoon, death being due to myocarditis, an inflamation of the muscles of the heart. He was ill eight days. Mr. Beckhart was born in Monticello, Illinois, April 16, 1869, and at his death was fifty-nine years, seven months and twenty-seven days old. In 1893 he married Miss Sarah Coon at Hannibal, Missouri, and is survived by his widow and four children, the later being: Mrs. Fern Burcham, St. Louis; O.K. Beckhart, Latham; L.F. Beckhart of Chicago, and Mrs. Ruth Bondy of Ellis, Kansas. He also leaves two brothers, Henry of Monticello and Edward of Denver, Colorado. Mr. Beckhart was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of the Masonic Lodge, which took part at the funeral services that were held in the home at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Phillip C. Remond, and burial was made in the Monticello cemetery.
