MARY G. BURTSCHI

DECATUR - Mary G. Burtschi, 65, of Decatur died 2:40 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 25, 1993) in her residence.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with 7:45 p.m. prayer service. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery. Memorials: Illinois Catholic Deaf Ministry or Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice.

Mary was born in Beason, the daughter of Ralph and Lula A. Scroggin. She was a homemaker, charter member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a member of Catholic Deaf Society. She married Robert J. Burtschi on June 15, 1957.

Surviving are her husband; son, Robert L. Burtschi and wife Jeanie of Decatur; daughter, Susan M. Murray and husband Larry of Decatur: grandchildren, Kyle Murray, Stephan and Mary Beth Burtschi: stepgrandchildren, Brandon and Justin Murray. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Duane Scroggin.

Mary will be missed by her family and many friends.

Mary Gwen Burtschi was my aunt.
