Mrs. Ferdinand Giese, 80, a Logan County resident for 45 years, died at 2:55 o'clock Monday morning at the home of her son, William Giese, 2 1/2 miles northeast of New Holland. She had been ill for the past three months. She was born in Germany April 11, 1860. Her husband passed way a number of years ago.

Surviving are five sons and daughters: William and Bertha Giese and Mrs. Frieda Koester, New Holland; Mrs. Anna Laugh- Utech, Palestine; also the following brothers and sisters:Charles Buse, New Holland; John and Herman Buse, Lincoln, and Mrs. Hanna Schroeder, New Holland.

Services will be held at the William Giese home at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday and at the New Holland Zion Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Richmond Grove cemetery. The body will be removed from Goff funeral home to the Giese residence Thursday afternoon.
