Mrs. J. R. Jones, a life long resident of Logan County passed away on Wednesday afternoon at 2:10 at the family home, 516 Fifth street, after an illness of two years with asthma. Decedent has been very low for the past week, and her death was not unexpected.

Mrs. J. R. Jones was born in Logan county, August 16, 1849, and was aged 67, 3 months and 13 days. She was married in Lincoln and has been a resident of West Lincoln for nearly fifty years. Little particulars are obtainable in regard to her life at this time.

She leaves her husband and the following ten children: Mrs. Sarah E. Donavon, of Cheyenne, Wash; Mrs. Charles Talmage, Mrs. Hazel Cutter and Katherine Jones, William, John, Allie, Alvin, Frank and Bert Jones all of Lincoln. One sister and brother also survive, Mrs Emma Houch, East Broadway and John Dinsmore.

Funeral arrangements are not completed but the services will probably be held on Friday afternoon at the Lincoln Hill Presbyterian church with interment in Union Cemetery.
