JOHN C MAMMEN

Funeral services for John C Mammen who passed away Thursday at 11:50 a.m. were held at the home five miles east of Delavan Saturday afternoon with Rev. Chindberg, of Emden M.E. church in charge.

Mr. Mammen had been in poor health since last fall, and had been confined to his bed for the past three weeks. The deceased was born in Germany 66 years ago.

Surviving besides the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Edward Krominga, Odell, Ill., Mrs. Carl Veerman, Pekin and Mrs. Wilson Brenneman, Delavan; also one son Alva Brennaman at home; two brothers, George Mammen of Chillicothe, mo. and C.G. Mammen of Emden; one sister, Mrs.Emma Koehler of Washington, Iowa and two step daughters, Mrs. G.A. Tollinger and Mrs. T.U. Rademaker of Emden.

Burial was in Hartsburg Union cemetery.

Pallbearers included; V.A. Wertsch, Park Boudeman, Ben Nannen, Ado Terviel, Henry Steiger and Joh Diekhoff.

The following relatives from a distance arrived Saturday to attend the funeral of the late John G. Mammen, Mrs. George Koehler, Mrs. Margaret Hopping, Mrs. Logan Arends and Meint Koehler of Washington, Iowa. and Miss Grace Mammen of Chillicothe, Missouri.

They departed on Sunday.
