MYRTLE V. NORFLEET

ATLANTA - Myrtle V. Norfleet, 78, of Lompoc, Calif., formerly of Atlanta, died Tuesday, April 25, 1995, at her home.

Her funeral was Saturday, April 29, at First Presbyterian Church, Lompoc, Calif., the Rev. Ernest Freund officiated. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville, Ill. Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, had charge of local arrangements

She was born November 18, 1916, in Lincoln, a daughter of Nicholas and Hannah Musick Amberg. She married Leland Norfleet. He died in 1975.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Sward, Denver, Colo; and Karen Steeb, Matthews, N. C.; four sons, Kenneth, Atlanta, Ga.; John, Dayton, Ohio; Jerry, San Jose, Calif.; and James, Lake Forest, Calif.; one sister, Bernice Leesman, Atlanta, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Norfleet was a homemaker and an active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and elder and was active in Presbyterian Women. She was a volunteer with the Laubach Learning Center and was a member of Stitch and Chatter Club, and a volunteer with the Interfaith Community Organizing Project of the Central Coast.
