MRS. C. W. ROTHWELL DIED SUDDENLY WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Mrs. Clara Rothwell, wife of Clarence W. Rothwell, four miles west of Mount Pulaski, Ill., died suddenly at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 1961, while visiting at the home of a relative, Mrs. Herbert Holz, on East Morgan St. She was aged 61 years, 10 months, and 17 days. Dr. Leland Cross was called and Schahl's for oxygen and ambulance.

Clara Griffin was born Sept. 2, 1899 near Lawndale, Logan County, Ill., a daughter of Henry Griffin and Eliza Katherine Naugle Griffin, and, in Bloomington, Ill., Jan. 6, 1926, married Clarence Wendell Rothwell of Mt. Pulaski. She was a member of the Christian Church and Lodge 100 White Shrine of Lincoln.

Her sister, Metti Forbes, of Rockford, Ill., passed away suddenly just five days ago while visiting at the Rothwell home west of the city. Decedent is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Cosette Reichle of Lincoln; two brothers, Charles F. Griffin of Bloomington and Theodore Griffin of Pekin; two sisters, Mrs. Harland Hammitt and Mrs. Archie Van Ness of Mclean; and one grandchild.

The body was taken to the Schahl Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at the Schahl Funeral Home, Rev. J. Wayne Staley officiating. Visitation will be on Friday afternoon and evening.
