Alfred Ruwe

Albert Ruwe (error – Alfred), 68, of Oxford, Ind., a Lincoln native, died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 1987 at Home Hospital, Lafayette, Ind.

He was a farm manager for several years for Farm Craft Services. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 19 years, the last nine as postmaster at Oxford. He attended Covenant Presbyterian Church in West Lafayette, Ind.

Mr. Ruwe also served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School and was a 1942 graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in agricultural economics.

Mr. Ruwe was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Lincoln, a son of William and Louise Hoffert Ruwe. He married Macelline Warbelton June 26, 1947 in Lincoln. She survives.
