The death of William H. Ruwe, 64, of 908 Decatur street, occurred at 3:40 p.m. at St. Clara’s Hospital following an extended illness.

The funeral will be held at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Goff Funeral Home and at 2 o’clock at Zion Lutheran church with Rev. A. E. Neitzel officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.

He was born February 13, 1879, in Strasburg, Shelby county, Illinois, a son of the late Herman and Charlotte Ruwe. His marriage to Miss Louise Hoffert took place in 1900.

Surviving are the wife, four sons and two daughters, Walter, Harold and Elmer Ruwe, Lincoln; Alfred Ruwe, of the U.S. Army, overseas; Mrs. Andrew Gaydosh, Mason City and Mrs. Carl Ruff, Strasburg. Also surviving are four grandchildren and three brothers: Fred Ruwe, Beason; Charles F. Ruwe, Lincoln and Arthur Ruwe, Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Ruwe was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
