THOMAS JEFFERSON SCROGGIN

SCROGGIN - At his home six miles southwest of Mt. Pulaski, Monday, February 4th, Thomas Jefferson Scroggin, aged about 60 years. Mr. Scroggin had been sick but a short time with lung fever. He leaves a widow, a daughter, and two sons. He was a member of Company I, 114th Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry.

He was buried Wednesday (6 February 1895) in the old Lake Fork Bridge Cemetery. The pallbearers included the following old comrades: Daniel Handlin, J. J. Moore, George Smith, John C. Meier, Z. T. Greening, and William Smith.
