Word of the unexpected death of William E. Seidel, 81, former resident of this city, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Burger, in Evanston Friday night was received here by his niece, Mrs. Ralph Koehnle.

Mr. Seidel had undergone an operation and was believed on the road to recovery when his death occurred. He was farmer at the Odd Fellows Orphans Home here for a number of years before going to Blackwell, Oklahoma, 32 years ago.

He was a brother of Charles E. Seidel and his daughter is the only immediate survivor. Services will be held in Blackwell, Oklahoma.
