Carl E. "Bucky" Walters Jr., 73, of Lincoln died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Mr. Walters was a machinist for Cutler Hammer-Eaton Corp. for more than 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945.

He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1441 and American Legion Post No. 263, both in Lincoln.

He was born May 14, 1925, in McLean County, a son of Carl E. Sr. and Louise E. Menzel Walters. He married Mary L. Langenbahn Aug. 25, 1945, in Lincoln, She died Oct. 31, 1971.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Evans of Energy; four sons, Terry Walters of Lincoln, Daniel Walters of Greenview, Ronald Walters of Beason and Rick Walters of Sibley; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services, with military rites, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Union Cemetery with Tom Gerdts officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Holland & Barry Funeral Home handled arrangements.
