I Robert Musick of the county of Logan and State of Illinois do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form, following: That is to say

1st First I will my body to the grave that it be intered at my decease in a decent and Christian-like manner and my Soul to God who gave it.

Second It is my will that my funeral expenses and just be fully paid.

Third I give to my beloved wife Sarah Musick in lieu of her dower, the plantation on which I now reside situate in the County of Logan and State of Illinois containing one hundred and thirty five acres during her natural life and the following horses designated by name as follows. Holin Hit and a Bay yearling Filley. the large Wagon and all the Harness all the farming utensils all the Hogs a Saddle and Bridle Five Cows and calves all the Household and Kitchen furniture during the time of her remainding my widow but in case she should marry after my decease then the property as above described to be sold and equally divided between all of my children.

Fourth Thereas I have given to my Daughter Mary Ann Judy and Esther A. Howser the sum of one hunded and Forty Eight dollars each and in order that my sons receive and equal amount with my daughters as aboved named.

Fifth. I will that they have the several pieces of lots of lands described as follows to wit: to my Sons: Brry, James and John the lands designated in the deeds which I have made to them and to my Son George the South East quarter of the North West quarter of Section Thirty four Town 21 containing Forty acres and also the North half of the South West quarter of Section Thirty four Town 21 containing Forty acres and also Twenty five acres to be taken off the East part of the North East quarter of Section No Three in Township No Twenty also Seventeen acres to be taken of the West side of the North West and South west Fractional quarters of Section No Two in Township No Twenty Range No 3 west of the third principal meridian.

I also will that the sixth part of the undivided South East quarter of Section No. Two be equally divided Between my Sons George and Fielding.

I will that my Son Fielding shall have the lands that is set apart to his mother as above after her decease which is designated as follows the Eat half both the South West West quarter of Section Two Township Twenty North of Range and three west. I also will the he Shall have the North west quarter of the North East quarter of Section No. 11 in Township No 20 North of range 3 No three west of the third principal meridian containing Forty acres also fifteen acres of land to be taken off the east side of the North West quarter of Section No Two in Township No 20 North and Range No three west of the third Principal meridian.

I will my Son George the young 2 year old Horse now in my possession provided his is not injured in castrating and in case he should not do well he George shall have another horse worth fifty Dollars in lieu of him.

I will that my Son Fielding have when he shall arrive at the age of Twenty one years a hors saddle and Bridle worth Seventy five Dollars.

I will that my Daughter Lucinda Musick have when she arrives at the age of eighteen years the sum of one hundred and Forty Eight dollars and the Horse known by the name of Charley. I will that my mother in law Esther Shirley shall be supported out of my estate during her natural life provided she remains in this county with my family.

I hereby constitute and appoint my Son James Musick to be Executor of this my last will and Testament.

I will that he should sell for ready money all the Beef cattle that I now own provided he can sell them at a fair price if not to sell them at public auction at such time as he may thing expedient.

I will that the amount of money that will fall due to George Lucinda and Fielding Shall be kept and interest until they shall arrive to the proper age to receive the same.

I will that all the money now at interest be collected after my decease and be divided between all my children according to their proper proportion.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day of December one thousand eight Hundred and forty Six.

Signed published and delivered by the above named Robert Musick as and for his last will and Testament in presence of us who at his request have signed and and witnessed to the same. I further will that the Sixth part of the undivided South East quarter of Section No Two Town 20 be sold at the same time when the heirs to whom the balance of said land belongs shall sell theirs.

Since the above has written of Robert Musick have on mature deliberation resolvent to make the following addition to this my last will and testament namely

First I will that the sum of Seven Hundred dollars be kept at Interest by my executor Interest of which Sum to be applied to the education of my Son Fielding Musick and the support of my wife Sarah Musick during her natural life. I further will that my Son George Musick have a Sum of money sufficient to pay for the breaking of twenty five acres of land.
