There are at least 29 War of 1812 veterans buried in Logan County. They all served from another location and later moved to Logan County, Illinois. Illinois was not a state at the time of the War of 1812. Not every grave is officially marked by the National Society of the Daughters of 1812. In the case of those whose burial site is unknown the veteran has been officially certified. Additions, corrections, to Cheryl Rothwell.
