Lewis was admitted in fair condition to St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, and his mother, a passenger in the auto, was treated.
Among Mr. Allspach’s survivors are his wife, Helen; three sons, Edward, John, and Donald, all of rural Mt. Pulaski; and nine grandchildren.
He was born Dec. 11, 1894 in Mt. Pulaski, a son of Daniel and Ellen Hoy Allspach and was married to Helen Birks in Mt. Pulaski. The deceased was a member of the Mt. Pulaski Methodist Church, and Lodge 87, Mt. Pulaski.
