WAVIE BOTKIN

ATLANTA (PNS) - Wavie M. Botkin, 85, of Christian Nursing Home, Lincoln, and formerly of Atlanta, died at 3:57 p.m. Thursday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Atlanta Christian Church, with John Cox officiating. Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, and from an hour before the service at the church.

She was born Sept. 30, 1898, in Smithboro, a daughter of Joseph and Hattie Crutchley Rench. She married Jesse E. Botkin June 8, 1926, in Eureka. He died March 24, 1968.

Surviving are a son, Dick, Chicago; a brother, Arthur Rench, Belmont, Calif.; three sisters, Ferne Jackson, Sun City, Calif.; and Alvera Chrisman and Alma Pearson, both of Lincoln; and three grandchildren.

Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

She was a sales clerk at Penney and Laudauer department stores, Lincoln, for several years.

She was a member of the Atlanta chapter of Royal Neighbors of America and the Atlanta Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Christian Nursing Home or the Atlanta Christian Church.
