MRS. ELIAS BUCKLES DEAD

Well-Known Resident of Mt. Pulaski Dies in Springfield Hospital

Mrs. Elias Buckles of Mt. Pulaski passed away at a hospital in Springfield at 11 o'clock Tuesday night, following an operation. Mrs. Buckles had been in poor health for several months and was taken to the hospital a short time ago, where it was hoped an operation would offer relief. She was found to suffering with a complication of diseases, which were beyond the skill of the physicians. Mrs. Buckles was born and reared in Mt. Pulaski, and had she survived until next August, would have celebrated her sixty-second birthday. She was married in early life to Elias Buckles, of the firm of Buckles & Son, and is survived by her husband. She leaves eight children, as follows: Mrs. G. W. Rothwell, Mrs. Oscar Mayer, Mrs. George Letterly, Harry, Frank, Hubert, Roy, and Cecil Buckles, all of Mt. Pulaski.

The deceased had been a member of the Christian Church practically all her life.

Funeral Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church.
