Services Today For Roy A. Colson

Services for the late Roy A. Colson, 75, whose death occurred Saturday afternoon at the County Farm following a heart attack, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the First Christian Church. Rev. C.M. Stults will conduct the service and burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Colson was born at Nashville, Tenn. January 14, 1861, the son of Mr. And Mrs. James Colson. He was married in Clinton, Mo., in 1890 to Susanna Bixler, who survives. He came to Illinois in 1897 and resided on a farm near Atlanta until 1903 when he became a resident of Lincoln.

Surviving are his wife and the following four children: Mrs. Bessie Shea, Lincoln; Russell Colson, Cincinnati, Ohio; Ralph Colson, Beason and Mrs. Edith Winklepeck, Bloomington. A daughter, Isabella, preceded him in death. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters. The body will be taken this evening to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Shea, 322 Fourth St. from the Kerrigan Chapel.

Roy Colson was my great grandfather.
