MANY MOURNING FRIENDS
Follow Body of Mrs. Cora Buckles Cowdin to the Grave

Died March 28, at the home of her parents, Mrs. Harry Cowdin. Mrs. Cora Buckles Cowdin was born March 26, 1876. She was married in Springfield, Ill., May 2, 1903 to Harry Cowdin, who, with an infant daughter two weeks old, survives her. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Buckles; her four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Buckles, of Mt. Pulaski, and Mr. and Mrs. Turley of Mexico, Mo.; and many other relatives and hosts of admiring friends are left to mourn her early death. She was beautiful and accomplished, had wealth, and everything earthly to live for but death came and snatched her from all her loved ones. Her funeral was conducted from her beautiful home Wednesday morning by Rev. E. Gilliland of Clinton, her former pastor who baptized her. He was assisted by Rev. R. A. Gilcrest, the present pastor. The remains were then taken to the cemetery near Mt. Pulaski, where all her relatives are buried. The services were held at 9 a.m. Many relatives were present at the home, among them her Grandfather and Grandmother Turley of Mexico, Mo.; her Grandfather and Grandmother Buckles, of Mt. Pulaski; Elias Buckles and daughter, Mrs. W. O. Mayer, Mt. Pulaski; Dr. Cowdin and wife of Macomb; Dr. White and wife of Springfield; Dr. McClintock and wife of Illiopolis; R. Scroggins of Harristown; and many others. In the loss of their only child, Mr. and Mrs. Buckles have the sympathy of an unusually large circle of friends. The profusion of flowers given by loving friends was surpassingly beautiful.
