Henry Donath Funeral Service to be Thursday

Henry J. Donath of 515 State St., died at 1:05 pm Tuesday in St. Clara’s hospital. He was custodian of the landfill system of the City of Lincoln for the past ten years and prior to that time had been a miner for 30 years. The body is at Kerrigan Funeral Home where friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening; the rosary will be recited at 8:00 pm. The funeral will be at 10 am (DST) Thursday from Kerrigan’s with Msgr. Leo P. Henkel officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. The deceased was born in Lincoln, January. 26 1887, the son of Henry and Magdalene Bessler Donath. He never married. Survivors include a sister; Mrs. Rose Tumilty of Springfield; and three brothers, Joseph A. Donath, John H. Donath, and Ben F. Donath of Lincoln. Two brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Donath was a veteran of World War I serving with the 47th artillery, Company C. He was a member of VFW Cronin Brothers Post. No.
