JOHN H. DONATH

John H. Donath, 87, of 702 Clinton St., died at 10:25 p.m., Wednesday in the local hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday from Zion Lutheran church with the Rev. A. J. Goldberger officiating. Burial will be in Zion cemetery. Visitation is to be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. The casket will be taken to the church Saturday noon. The deceased was born at Braceville March 26, 1884, the son of Henry and Magdalena Bessler Donath. He married Louise Wietelmann Jan. 12, 1908 in Kewanee and she died Nov. 15, 1962. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Myron (Josephine) Wolf of Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Fred (Florence) Wolf of Beason and Mr. Leo (Stella) Pevsner of Palatine: three sons, John W., Carl E., and Donald E., of Lincoln; a sister Mrs. Rose Tumility of Springfield; a brother Ben Donath of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandchild. Mr. Donath was a member of Zion Lutheran church and was a retired miner.
