John W. Donath, 75, of Lincoln died at 5:28 pm Tuesday, October 10, 1995, at Lake Ozark General Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri. Mr. Donath retired in 1982, after serving 42 years as an electric company service representative. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was member of Zion Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 263, both in Lincoln. He was born March 14, 1920, in Lincoln, a son of John and Louis Wietleman Donath, He married Leona Eury April 5, 1944, in Lincoln. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Carla Ackerman of Lincoln; two brothers, Carl and Donald both of Lincoln; three sisters, Josephine Wolf of Tallahassee, Florida, Florence Wolf of Lincoln, and Stella Pevsner of Chicago, and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by one son. Graveside services with military rites will be at 10:30 am Saturday in Union Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Carnahan officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Holland & Barry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
