RESIDED NEAR MT. PULASKI 68 YEARS
[Lucinda Buckles Handlin]

Mt. Pulaski, March 25 - The death of Mrs. Daniel D. Handlin at Lake Fork late Monday afternoon marked the passing of the last of the original Buckles family, one of the earliest pioneer families of this locality. She was a sister of the late John Buckles of this city and was born Sept. 10, 1846 near Lake Fork and, for 68 years has had her home near the place of her birth. Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Lake Fork at 10:30 a.m. today, conducted by Rev. Mr. Monser, pastor of the Christian church in Lincoln. Burial was in the Steenbergen cemetery.
