Funeral services for Elsie Ida Hoffert were this morning at Holland and Barry Funeral Home with the Rev. William Adam officiating.
Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.
Mrs. Hoffert, 96, of Lincoln, formerly of Peoria, died at 7:10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 1991, at St. Clara’s Manor.
She was a retired foster grandparent at Lincoln Developmental Center and was a former retail sales clerk in Peoria. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Hoffert was born July 8, 1894 in Germany, a daughter of Herman and Matilda Hertle Young. She married Richard Hoffert on Dec. 21, 1911, in Lincoln. He died Aug. 26, 1966.
Surviving are one daughter, Norma Donoho of Lincoln; one half brother, William Young of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to St. Clara’s Manor.
