Ernest W. Hoffert Sr. of RR 1 Lincoln, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Veteran’s Research Hospital in Chicago.

He was born in Lincoln Sept. 28, 1919 the son of Ernest and Lena Borchardt Hoffert. He married Lena Marie Schaub at St. Charles, Mo. in July 1947. He was an employee of Leesman Milling Co. and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son Ernest F. Hoffert of Beason; two daughters Mrs. Edith Bumgardner of RR 1 New Holland; and Mrs. Sandra Hopp of Lincoln; two sisters Mrs. Florence Bennett of Cantrall and Mrs. Marie Seitz of Lincoln; four brothers George of Pleasant Plains; Raymond, Robert, and Arthur all of Lincoln; seven grandchildren.

Friends may call at Holland and Barry Funeral Home Friday afternoon and evening.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home with Rev. Warren H. Seyfert officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
