FRED HOFFERT DIES AT ADVANCED AGE

Fred Hoffert, a well-known farmer in Chester Township, died at 5:30 o’clock last evening at his home, following a long illness which extended over the last nine days. Mr. Hoffert was born in Germany 83 years ago and was married there to Miss Minnie Hoffman. He is survived by the following four children, all residing in this community: Ernest, Richard, Mrs. William Heinzel, and Mrs. William Ruwe. For the past 46 years Mr. Hoffert was a resident of Illinois. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church in this city, where the funeral will take place at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. A. J. Schliesser in charge. Burial will be made in Union Cemetery. A brief service will be held at the home at one o’clock preceding the service at the church.”
