Funeral of Holz Set for Monday

Herbert Holz, 52, of Mt. Pulaski, credit manager of the Sears Roebuck and Co. store in Decatur for the past 20 years, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday in St. Maryís Hospital in Decatur. He lived in Mt. Pulaski for about 25 years, and before taking the Decatur job, was a teacher and coach in Mt. Pulaski.

Holz was born Nov. 11, 1908 in Hales Corner, Wis. He was married to Elizabeth Mayer, July 13, 1939 in Mt. Pulaski.

The deceased was a deacon of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski, a member of several Mt. Pulaski organizations; IOOF 454, the Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion.

Mr. Holz leaves his wife; his mother, Mrs. Ida Holz of Minneapolis, Minn.; a brother, Arnold of Minneapolis; and three sisters, Mrs. Carl Johnson of Minneapolis, Mrs. Ed Ioerger of El Paso, and Mrs. Elsie Pierson of Salem, Ore.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski with burial in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. The Rev. Ray O. Zumstein will officiate. Friends may call at the Schahl Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski Sunday afternoon and evening. At 8 p.m. Sunday the IOOF lodge will conduct a service.
