John W. Laughery

John W. Laughery, a resident of Chestnut, died at the St. Clara's hospital at 4 P.M. Saturday, November 15, following an illness of some weeks.

The decedent was born in this state, January 10, 1876, his death ensuing at the age of 43 years, 10 months and 5 days. He was married to Clara Van Devender in this city, March 10, 1909 and to this mariage six children survive:

The children are: Roxie, Dora [sic - Doris], Cecil, Bessie, Jennett and Norma. He is also survived by three sisters and a brother as follows: Mrs. Leeca Reynolds, Cederville, Wisc., Mrs. M. W. Goetzman, Almeda, California; Mrs. Roxie Glaulso and Frank Laughery, both of Chestnut.

The funeral service is to be held Tuesday, at 2:30 P.M. at the M. E. Church in Chestnut, with Rev. McAfee in charge. Interment in Laenna Cemetery.
