Burns Fatal to Mrs. Litterly

MT. PULASKI – Mrs. Myrtle Louella Litterly, 82, of Mt. Pulaski, died at 12:35 a.m. Monday at St. Clara’s Hospital, Lincoln, from severe burns suffered Oct. 14 in a cooking accident. She was born April 5, 1873, the daughter of Elias and Betty Dyer Buckles. She married George Litterly, who died Oct. 18, 1944.

Mrs. Litterly is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lea Harbert of Decatur; two sons, Claude and George F. Litterly of Mt. Pulaski; a brother, Hubert Buckles of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Ora Rothwell of Mt. Pulaski; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Friends may call at the Schahl Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Schahl Funeral Home with the Rev. Carroll Langston officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. John Webb. Burial will be in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery.
