Mrs. Nettie Miller Mammen died at her home in Emden at 5:30 p.m. Monday following a several weeks illness of a heart ailment. She was born in Germany, January 8, 1865.
She was married to John Bushman in 1883, He preceded her in death in 1893. Three children were born to this union. One daughter, Gertrude, died in 1904.
She later married John Mammen on Dec 28 1894. He also preceded her in death.
She resided on a farm near Delavan until six months ago when she moved to Emden.Surviving are the following children: Mrs. G.A. Tollinger and Mrs. T.U. Rademaker, both of Emden; Mrs. Ed Kromminga, Odell;, Mrs. Carl Veerman, Pekin; Alva Mammen at home; and Mrs. Wilson Brenneman, Delavan.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the Emden Methodist church with Dr. E.S. Combs officiating. Burial was made in Hartsburg Union Cemetery
