DEATH RECORD:
"William McKinley, Sr., 73, a retired farmer living in Mt. Pulaski, died
at 6 o'clock this morning at his home. His death followed an extended
illness, due to a stroke of paralysis with which he was afflicted last
January.
"Mr. McKinley farmed in the vicinity of Chestnut for years and since
retiring has made Mt. Pulaski his home. He is survived by his wife and
the following children: Wm. McKinley, Jr., of Chicago; Edward McKinley,
Normal; Harley McKinley, residing on a farm near Chestnut; Harless
McKinley, farming the home place;, Mrs. Frances Lakin of Chestnut; and
Mrs. Mary Manes of Decatur." (Oldest daughter Mrs. R. A. Christison of
Decatur was not listed)
"The funeral is to take place at 1:30 Saturday afternoon at the
Methodist church in Mt. Pulaski, with Rev. C. Ward of Sullivan in
charge. Burial will be made in the Laenna Cemetery."
