MRS. WILLIAM MENZEL

Mrs. William Menzel died at her home, 927 N. Logan street at 6 o'clock Monday morning after a lingering illness. She has been an invalid for the past four years and her death was caused by creeping paralysis. Pauline Schultz Menzel was born in Weisten, Germany, July 24, 1853, and came to this country at an early age. She was married to William Menzel and to this union eight children were born. They are, Anna, wife of Frank Knecht of near Atlanta; Martha, wife of Harry Merry, of Lincoln; Josephine, wife of David Baugh, of Chicago; Augusta, wife of James Pierce, of Needless, Cal.; Edith, wife, of David Warwick, of San Francisco, and Bertha Menzel at home; Herman Menzel of Lovington, Ill., and Julius Menzel, living north of town.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon from the residence at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. Charles Hoffman, of the St. John's church. Burial will be in Union cemetery
