MARTIN MILLER

Martin Miller, ex-street commissioner of this city, an old and respected resident of this, died on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at St. Clara's hospital, after a several weeks' illness at the hospital with dropsy.

Decedent was born Nov. 1, 1847 and was married Nov. 21, 1871 to Anna Smith. They resided for many years on North Sangamon street. Mrs. Miller died a number of years ago and four children were left: Martin, Anna, Martha and Thomas. Two children died after maturity, Martin and Mrs. Thomas Hall. One little granddaughter, Eva Miller, as always made her home with her grandfather.

No arrangements have been made for the funeral, his daughter, Mrs. Richard Smith, with whom he made his home, now being ill.
