JONATHAN MUSICK IS DEAD
Well Known Farmer Died Thanksgiving Afternoon

Jonathan Musick, a prominent and well-known farmer of East Lincoln township, died at the family residence on R. R. 2 Thursday afternoon at 4:10 after an extended illness from paralysis and indigestion. He was 65 years old.

Mr. Musick was the member of a family which has branches in all parts of the county and which has been known in this community for many years. He was a life long farmer and respected by his acquaintances.

Decedent was born May 16, 1849, in Lincoln. He was the son of John and Mary Johnson Musick. On January 7, 1872 he married Sarah Elizabeth Wren in Lincoln. Besides the wife, the following children survive: W. A. Musick, John M. Musick, Mrs. Lillie Francis Larison and Mrs. Emily Mildred Gehlbach, all of Beason: Mrs. Alice Mable Holt of Canton, Ill.; Mrs. Cassie Anna Jones and Leila Elizabeth Musick, both of Lincoln. Elmer Jay Musick, a son, died some years ago.

The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Jane Duncan of Litchfield, Neb.; Mrs. Mary Denny of Des Moines, Ia.; Mrs. Bettie Staats of Cisco, Ill.; Eph Musick of Beason and Mrs. Ann Gallagher and J. T. Musick of Lincoln.

The funeral will be held from the Zion church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. W. M. Carter and Rev. George T. Wetzel, pastor of the Lincoln M. E. circuit. Burial will be in Zion cemetery.

Jonathan Musick was my 3rd great uncle.
