Mrs. Mary Lucille Ruwe of 1201 Clinton St., died at 9:45 a.m., Monday in the local hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday from Immanuel Lutheran Church of which she was a member. The Rev. Ehme Osterbur will officiate and burial will be in McLean cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Holland and Barry Funeral Home. The casket will be taken to the church Wednesday noon.
The deceased was born April 30 1917, the daughter of James and Mary Wilson Benedict. She was first married to Frank Halfey, Dec., 27, 1932 and he died Feb. 5, 1959. Her second marriage was to Elmer Ruwe Jan. 1, 1965 and he survives as do her mother of Lincoln; a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Page and a granddaughter, Gina Rae Page of Lincoln; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Carol Newman of Lincoln and Mrs. Joyce Haning, Minier; three step-grandchildren; four brothers, Ollie Benedict, Atlanta; James and Raymond of Peoria; and Fred of Lincoln; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Thomas, East Peoria; and Mrs. Edith Davis and Mrs. Nora Woodard of Lincoln; and a half sister, Mrs. Sadie Taylor of Virden. She was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
