Funeral services for Charles E. Seidel, 74, who passed away at his residence, 229 Peoria St., at 11:30 o'clock Saturday night, will be conducted by Rev. H. M. Bloomer at the First Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Mr. Seidel's death occurred from complications after an illness of only a few days. He came to Illinois 53 years ago and taught in Logan County schools for many years.

He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania June 1, 1857, death occurring at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 8 days.

The widow and the following three children survive: Mrs. Clara Fraser, Evanston; Mrs. R. F. Koehnle, Lincoln and S.C. Seidel, Elkhart, Indiana. One brother, William Seidel resides at Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Persons desiring to view the remains are asked to call at the Goff Funeral Home prior to the hour of the funeral as the casket will not be opened at the church.
