MRS. GERTRUDE SMITH

LINCOLN –(PNS)- Mrs. Gertrude T. Smith, 77, formerly of Bloomington, died at 6:45 p. m. Saturday at the Mary-Henry Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 9 a. m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The Rev. D. F. Monaghan will officiate, and burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. The rosary will be recited at 8 p. m. today at the Kerigan Funeral Home.

She was born Oct. 25, 1882, at Lake Fork, a daughter of James and Emma Hayes Mileham. Her husband, Leslie Smith, died April 2, 1934.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth Smith, Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Chambers, Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Virgil D. Mileham, Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Scroggins. Lincoln; Mrs. Russell Arthur, Sterling; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
