LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JAMES SHORES DECEASED

Know all men by these presents, that I, James Shores, of the County of Logan and State of Illinois, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

First. It is my will that my executors hereinafter named pay out of my estate, all of my just debts and funeral expenses.

Second. I give and bequeath to my son Frank Shores one thousand dollars to be paid him in due course of administration.

Third. All of the rest and residue of my property wherever found or situate or of whatsoever nature or kind I want sold and converted into money by my executors and divided equally between my children Arthur J. Shores, Alice McKenzie, Georgia Aylesworth nee Shores, Ferne Funk nee Shores, James C. Shores and Frank Shores share and share alike.

Fourth. I nominate and appoint my sons Frank Shores and James C. Shores executors of this my last will and ask that no bond be required of them to act as such executors. I hereby authorize and empower my said executors to bargain, sell and by proper deeds or other writings convey all of my property at private or public sale as they deem best to the purchasers thereof and convert all of my property into money and divide the same as I have set forth in the third paragraph of this will, after payment of my debts and paying said thousand dollars to my son Frank Shores.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal to this my last will this 29th day of May 1905.

In Probate March Term, A. D. 1908. Now, on this day comes Frank Shores and James C. Shores and presents to the Court a petition, duly verified by affidavit, praying that an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of James Shores deceased, now on file in said Court, be admitted to Probate. It appearing to the Court from said petition that the said James Shores died at Atlanta, Ills on or about the 11th day of Feb A. D. 1908, and at the time of his death resided at Atlanta in the County of Logan and State of Illinois, and that the names of the heirs at law and legatees as set forth in said petition, are as follows, to-wit: Arthur J. Shores; Son 30 Pine St. New York City, N.Y. Georgia S. Aylesworth, Fort Collins, Col. Alice McKenzie, Edinburg Ills. and Ferne S. Funk McLean, Ills. daughters and Frank Shores and James C. Shores, sons. Atlanta, Ills.
